Growing Pains...

22 weeks today!!! woohoo! as impatient that I am I can't believe that we are already have way through this pregnancy. It has definitely been a learning experience that as a first time mommy you can never be prepare for. From finding out that we were pregnant to three months of morning sickness to what I am currently going through right now: uncomfortable nights and back pains it is all worth it! as long as my baby is growing and is healthy I'll take whatever comes my way.
Last week I had my doctors appointment and an U/S. The tech told me that the baby is about a pound in weight and that she now estimates my due date to be January 1st. This baby is growing fast and it makes me feel awesome. Here is a picture of the baby at 20 weeks and a belly picture at 22 weeks!

In other news, this is the last week that Erick will be in 29 Palms. He should be back in Lejeune around the 7th and I will be driving up there on the 10th for a pre deployment meeting and I am so excited about meeting some of my FOTF girls!!! I really hope we are able to get together and have lunch!
With that being said, predeployment meeting only means that deployment is just around the corner and I am really not looking forward to that. I have been preparing myself mentally to deal with it, but having a newborn and the hubby in danger is not what I want, but that's the life that I choose and as much as I may complain it is what it is. So we just have to deal with it...Semper Gumby!

A name for our baby (drum roll please....)

Finally!!! after weeks of figuring out what we would name our daughter, Erick has finally agree with me on the name for our baby. CAMILA ADRIANNA.
Since finding out that I was pregnant, I immediately thought of both boys and girls names and Camila stood out to me so much! I loved it and Erick had agreed with it at first, but then decided that he wasn't so sure about the name. Two night ago, he called me and asked me how Camila was doing, I was taken a little back and he said that he knows how much I love that name and that he likes it too so we should just stop looking around and just name her.
Woohoo!!! I'm so excited, I finally can give a name when people ask me and I can start looking around for little wooden signs to decorate her room with her name!

Boring August

This month there is absolutely nothing going on. Erick is gone to Mojave Viper for the entire month and there will be little communication. He will be in the dessert all month training for his upcoming deployment this fall which is rapidly approaching. I've decided to concentrate on moving and cleaning out my room to make room for the baby's crib since we are going to be sharing a room while Erick is on deployment. I'm very thankful that my mom we'll be around to help me out with the baby for those months, I don't know how I would have done it myself. I hope this month flys by since September will be a busy month full of traveling for us!!!
